Following on their first listens for other cast recordings such as Annie, Cinderella and Kinky Boots. EW have just posted a first listen to the new cast recording of Pippin.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Dreamin, we sound GOOD! they did a great job. That was one of the most memorable days of my life. Just FYI it did not seem like 700 people were there maybe closer to 500.
This is brilliant! And I was listening to 'With You' And I didn't recognise the music at the end of it, and was thinking 'Oh, I wonder what scene this is from' then I hear a whip crack and remember 'Oh of course, it is from the Orgy'. You know you are doing something right in your life when that is a normal thought process!
and listening to this, it just makes me want to see the show again that much more.

This is worth owning just for the No Time at All track alone. Knowing the story behind it, and actually hearing the exuberance of those who got to take part mixed onto that track makes it so "alive" for me.
Unlike the new Annie, this is a recording that could cause me to pitch the OBC CD from the 70s (or at least never play it again) and not miss it at all.
Love it and I agree. I just saw the show, again over Memorial Day weekend. I LOVE the OBR and this new recording is right up there with the original. The revival recording is amazing, fresh, clear, crisp and ALIVE.
Wow. Even after the first track I think it is the best recording this season alone. The number got me so worked up as if I were in the theatre, and felt very invited into the story. And to me, that is really the essence of theatre as an art. Bravo to them!
Is this just 3 songs? How do you hear the entire album if that is what I believe some are talking about.
Thanks
Strike that request - I changed browsers - the one I primarily use wasn't allowing more than the first 3 to show. I found them all...
Brilliant...now I've got my IT Dept trying to eradicate a virus attached to the audiodg.exe file we believe from this EW website. Anyone else start having Feminine Hygiene product commercials playing over and over?
