Posted: 9/4/09 at 5:35pmI had seen the poster for Wishful Drinking in Shubert Alley and thought it was a riot.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

They are ahead of the game this year. Royal Family, and Superior Donuts are out today as well.

Agreed that the Donuts artwork completely loses its charm in B&W.
Love the Oleanna and Neil Simon plays. I wasn't crazy about the BBM/BB artwork at first, but it looks nice on the Playbill.

FINIAN'S RAINBOW (St. James Theatre)
Also (not sure if this has been posted), the BYE BYE BIRDIE playbill was in black and white, not color, when I saw it last Sunday. I assume it has been that way since the first preview, and Roundabout hasn't parted with their B&W tradition.
