BURN THE FLOOR (Longacre Theater)
BYE, BYE BIRDIE (Henry Miller Theater)
A STEADY RAIN (Gerald Schoenfeld Theater)
Interesting - I thought Roundabout always did B/W covers.
The Steady Rain cover is for real unattractive, no?
Bye, Bye Birdie will probably go black and white, but this is a rare case where I think I actually like it better that way. It looks even more vintage.

A Steady Rain's artwork is pretty awful.
I fully agree on the artwork for A Steady Rain. It makes me feel like I'm watching this type of thing...
Would have been better with just the title on that black grungy background. Or a more stylish picture of the two gentlemen.

I don't like the look of Bye-Bye Birdie in black and white. The color gives it more energy and excitement. And the eye they share in A Steady Rain is really creepy. I thought we already saw the Burn the Floor artwork. I at least recognized it from the picture of the opening night playbill they sell on playbillstore.com. I wonder if Finnian's Rainbow will be in color.
I'm sure Finnian's Rainbow will be color for the first month. I love that Artwork.

I love the Bye Bye Birdie Playbill. I was hoping that would be the picture. Not that it really matters.
I actually think the A Steady Rain playbill is really interesting, but it doesn't work for the show IMO. The artwork almost seems to imply that the two men are one (like brothers/split personalities), which is not the case if I understand the show correctly.
Two more from playbill.com:
MEMPHIS (Shubert Theatre)
HAMLET (Broadhurst Theatre)
the Hamlet Playbill looks nice, but the marquee creeped me out a little, since it reminded me of Dr. J. T. Eckleburg.
I think the advertising for MEMPHIS looks great. It is unlike any other Broadway artwork right now. Is this Spotco? If so, GO DREW, (finally).
WHO MADE THE DECISIONS for A STEADY RAIN?
They should be shot... by Bond, and mauled by Wolverine.
Guess I'm in the minority--I vaguely, kinda like the Steady Rain artwork...it's Birdie I find incredibly boring/stock art-ish.
Daniel Craig looks like the unibomber in that photos.
Memphis looks great & hope the show will be as good.
It's awful Roxie. Truly awful.
Sorry to hear that.
care to elaborate, bobbybubby? i'm interested to hear what you have to say about the show. i dont know squat about it
I was hoping they'd use simply this for Bye Bye Birdie:
I actually really like "A Steady Rain"'s..and I'm a graphic designer...go figure. Memphis's is also great, and Hamlet's is very simple and very nice.
Playbill just put up the playbills for After Miss Julie, and Wishful Drinking. I don't know how to post pictures on here though. You can find them in the multimedia section of playbill.com
Thanks for the heads up, bandit964!
AFTER MISS JULIE (American Airlines Theatre)
WISHFUL DRINKING (Studio 54)
The Wishful Drinking Playbill is hysterical.
