Anyone heard any more about the Priscilla 2011 casting? I saw a couple of tweets about callbacks and heels and all that and on bwaydaily someone said Tad Wilson posted about getting a role!
Also, just came across this great vid from the London cast:

If the Mirvishes have any say about it, there will be a lot of Canadians in the cast.
I hope you guys get Tony Sheldon, if not... it's not even worth it ~
Not sure about any casting, but it sure was fun to be there at the open call.
(I wasn't actually at the call, but I had an audition on the same floor that day)

I love this show to bits and would love to see it conquer the world but, sad to say, I have to agree with the above. Broadway NEEDS to have the best available cast and I doubt anyone else will do the role of Bernadette justice other than Tony Sheldon. He lends the whole thing authenticity and class and heart.
I think I read someone Nick Adams would be the first cover for the lead.
I've seen tweets that seem to indicate Jeremy Jordan and Jessica Phillips will be a part of the cast.
It's a no brainer, Tony Sheldon has to play Bernadette on Broadway.
I just saw this last night in London - would love to see it succeed in New York, but I felt as though it would not connect with Americans, any thoughts?
Just saw this in London tonight, and I can't WAIT until this transfers. It is so much fun. THIS is what a campy musical should be like. The choreography and the costumes are outstanding. I will be really sad if Oliver Thornton doesn't transfer with this. He was by far the standout as Felicia/Adam.

Oh I SOOOO disagree. New Yorkers will eat this up. I loved it. I think much of the theatre crowd will love it in addition to the tourists who love really campy fun.

Oh, so many names on here I recognise.
bjh2114 Glad you enjoyed Priscilla, it would be a lot better if Tony Sheldon was still there.
When you get back, you must post a mini review on the West End board, I am intrigued on your thoughts.
They also said Billy Elliot wouldn't play well in America.
SORRY TYPO. Wouldn't not would. (SS)
^And it obviously does since it is having such great success!!!
I am sure Tony Sheldon was absolutely spectacular, but to be perfectly honest, I really enjoyed Don Gallagher. I thought he did a very good job. I will definitely post my review on the West End board (along with the reviews of the other 8 shows I saw while I was here) when I get back to the states tomorrow night.
Great, I look forward to reading them.
So Thom Allison is understudying the role of Bernadette, but who is the actor he is understudying?
I'm surprised that there's been no further casting news yet. Surely it can't be too long before the Toronto cast start rehearsals?
I believe it doesn't open until October.
Very little given away...

Rehearsals don't begin until August and are in New York (with tech in Toronto obviously).

Nick Adams is definitely in it, or so he says. He claims he's in it in his playbill bio for La Cage.
