I was just wondering from those who have done it - what time people are getting there to line up?
Thanks.

I don't know about getting there, but my friend walked up to the window AT 10 this morning, without waiting in the line after about 20 tickets had been sold and she got a ticket for tonight's show.
But that tide might turn after the show opens, so I'd recommend rushing during previews.

I got there at 9 this morning and was 10th in line. I probably could've gotten there later, as most people were getting matinee tickets and I wanted evening. I'm sure if you walked up there right now, you'd be able to get seats.
My ticket is in the middle of row K in the Mezz.
#4Question re: FOLLIES rush
Posted: 8/10/11 at 1:17pmYeah, I'm the friend AASJB mentioned and would not say you need to get there before 10. At the show last night, there was a lot of empty seats in the mezz. In fact, half of the right mezz was empty.

Posted: 8/10/11 at 6:51pmJust an FYI that I went around 5:30 or so this evening and was told they were all sold out, so they do run out.
#6Question re: FOLLIES rush
Posted: 8/19/11 at 12:39pmAnyone know if they are picky about your id? I know some places get all upity when the ids don't have a year listed on them. I don't wanna schlep all the way in to find it won't be accepted.
#7Question re: FOLLIES rush
Posted: 8/19/11 at 12:41pmThey weren't picky at the first preview. But now I'm reading that it's apparently college IDs only.

Yep, it's college IDs only now. I waited in line for an hour this past Wednesday just to be denied at the ticket window for having only a high school ID. I ended up going to the tkts booth and got row G orchestra (and my god, it was worth every extra penny— my first exposure to the show, and I loved it!).
I just wished I hadn't wasted my time that morning. And I wasn't the only student unaware, plenty others were turned away the same.
The house did look mostly full though, only the extreme extreme sides wre empty.

Posted: 8/20/11 at 9:33amI got to the box office today at 930 and there is already 28 people ahead of me. Just an update.

You could also buy discounted tix at the box office. I went this past Tuesday and verbally told them I had the B'waybox discount. Got tix for the next day's matinee, row K.
I was in the process of bringing the code up on my phone, but he never asked to see it.
(I'm fairly certain that the discount is the same as what you can get at TKTS, and no additional waiting.)
#14Question re: FOLLIES rush
Posted: 8/20/11 at 11:11amWhere do you line up for rush? I thought the box office moved between Come Fly Away and Wonderland, but I'm not entirely sure as I missed Wonderland.
#15Question re: FOLLIES rush
Posted: 8/20/11 at 11:28amThe box office is on the north end of that giant corridor/arcade area underneath the hotel, near where TKTS used to be.
#16Question re: FOLLIES rush
Posted: 8/20/11 at 3:09pmdramamama, the tkts seats are about $18 cheaper ($70.50 for orchestra as opposed to $89 wih the broadwaybox discount). It's still a good deal though, cause you're certain of your seats and can get em in advance.

#20Question re: FOLLIES rush
Posted: 8/20/11 at 4:33pmMy friends and I are going to rush tomorrow. It sounds like we should get there before 9:30 if we want matinee seats. Unless something's changed?
#21Question re: FOLLIES rush
Posted: 8/20/11 at 5:26pmI got there at 9, and after a half hour there were only about 4 others in line behind us, so 9:30 should be a pretty safe bet.

#22Question re: FOLLIES rush
Posted: 8/20/11 at 9:15pmI stopped by some evening last week and the very amiable man at the box office let me know that generally, as of late, rush tickets sell out within the first hour of opening on one-show days, and within two hours on two-show days. It obviously couldn't hurt to get there early, but consider those bounds when you are planning to rush.
