Could anyone suggest a quirky princess song for my best friend to do at showcase? think Enchanted Happy Little Working Song, or 'In A Disney Way' or 'Where in the Worrld is my Prince'? none of these are possible as they're overdone/not suitable for this show. Please share your wealth of knowledge theatre lovers!!Xx
Happily Ever After - Once Upon a Mattress
I Know It's Today - Shrek
I was going to say "Shy" from "Once Upon a Mattress"

thank you, really good suggestions! Also the less well known and the funnier the better, please keep them coming!
You really can't do better than Happily Every After.
Call Me a Princess
I would love to see a princess singing (non-traditional) but kinda a dirty twist.
I'm just a girl who cain't say no!
The Love of My Life - Brigadoon
I've Got What you Want - The lady or the Tiger (a princess song)
^ Along those lines, she could do "That'll Show Him" or "Lovely" from A Funny Thing Happened..., depending on her range.
"Happily Ever After" is a great suggestion, how about "On the Steps of the Palace" from INTO THE WOODS?

There's "Portrait of a Princess" as sung by Julie Atherton (Youtube it up - I can never do links properly on here) which is written by a MT composer and is certainly quirky.

Portrait is exactly what we're looking for but unfortunetly someone just did it at our schools summer showcase, but an exact clone of that song is what she needs???X
"Glitter and Be Gay" maybe? If she can sing it.
The Simple Joys Of Maidenhood?
The Prima Donna song. I can't remember the exact title but it's known as the Prima Donna Song. I wanna say it's from the Enchantress.
Does it have to be about princesses?
I Hate Men from Kiss Me, Kate could be sung very sweetly for the princess feel. Instead of the verse-ending grunts, there could be sighs. Or the sighs could gradually build to grunts.
