Why do they keep trying to make this happen? REBECCA = Fetch

I'm looking to make my Broadway bow in 2014 too...DOESN'T MEAN IT'S GONNA HAPPEN!

Saw the Vienna cast. I've also spent a great deal of time listening to the live Stuttgart cast recording. I've said it before, I really loved everything about this show and I sincerely hope it makes it on broadway. Plus seeing as Karen Mason Mrs. Danvers will be wonderful! It's a shame that this all happened and marred the shows terrific reputation.

I want Carolee Carmello in this, but I know it's going to flop and I don't want that to happen to her again.

^Just was thinking that the other day. I assume for Mrs Danvers? As much as I love the show I could see it not transferring as well an doing poorly. (As a few German imports have) I'm still optimistic though.
Was Hugh Panaro officialy apart of this? I recall he was apart of the reading

Are they even going to be able to get Broadway names involved if this actually happens? I can't imagine anyone attaching themselves to a project that has had so much failure unless they were desperate or had a relationship to the material. There's never any real security in your job as a performer, but this is a big gamble.
I'm going to guess Sierra will return (what it seems, she's not in anything right now), unless she's going to take Fantanine in the revival of Les Mis.

I'd be happy if she did, but I'd be surprised.
Sierra and others like her don't have to gamble is my point.
Whelp the Broadhurst is taken, so where are they going to shove it now?
hahahahahah
I don't know, I doubt if it actually opens.

I believe the original cast is staying on. At least Jill Paice, Ryan Silverman, and Karen Mason are.

It seems unlikely to open, when playbill.com reported that Vienna company extended from Dec 2013 to Jan 2014, not much extension.
It's gunna win so many Tony awards you haters will look stupid for making fun of it because you're all just jealous.
I'm going to put my bet in now and say that the show will eventually make it to Broadway and that all the negative publicity will actually work in its favor and that Rebecca will pull a Spider-Man and run for a few years.

Not to dwell on the small details but I believe it was reported that the rights were originally going to expire in June of 2013, then with this most recent extension, Sprecher has the rights till January of 2014, with the opportunity to extend if need be to December of the same year. Again small details but I just wanted to mention that.

I said that as soon as the scandal broke. You couldn't ask for better FREE publicity. REBECCA in NYC almost became a household name and it never even rehearsed!

If it does happen to open, I hope Sierra will be back on board. @DEClarke If I'm not mistaking, they had at least one rehearsal (lol...) So Hugh was never in the planned Broadway production?
seriously, what actor would attach themselves to this show??
^ We will see when casting is "re-announced"
Except SPIDER-MAN also has a multi-billion dollar film series (and a smash reboot which started last year), legions of comic book fans, a corner on the tourist/family market, huge flashy stunts, etc etc. It's got a lot more going for it than just some crazy pre-opening publicity.
These REBECCA producers are crazy. I mean...sometimes, it's just best to cut your losses and move the hell on.
