Mya's got a great voice, and the right look, but not strong enough for OT. Her 'Without You' would be great, though

i'm pretty sure Rosario will do fine. Anthony Rapp believes she's got the voice and looks so i'm sure she'll make a great Mimi but only time will tell.

rosario auditioned for the part with 2 songs:

"Out Tonight" and "Without You" and knocked the producers out with both. it's no wonder she was the first to be signed to this project.
they've made the right choice. i'm confident no one will be disappointed with her "Mimi".

Hehe, Emcee, I love you. I totally agree. I did the exact same thing, complained and complained that there was going to be no Daphne or Fredi.

I haven't heard the sound clip of Rosario(my computer refuses to download from USentIt.com- anyone up to sending it to my email?), but from what I've heard from both her in Josie and The Pussycats(cause yay, it was actually her) and from what other people have said, I'm not worried much anymore.

everyone seems to have more of a problem with rosario replacing daphne than with tracie thoms replacing fredi walker, what gives?

No clue... I've been wondering because I loved Fredi in the part of Joanne... I especially loved her TMoLM and her WO... I dunno, Tracie doesn't look like a Joanne to me, she's too dainty and pretty from the pictures I've seen. I see Joanne as a stronger type who looks like she could/would beat you up if necessary but is really a softie. Lets hope I'm not disappointed.

I like the clip of Rosario... and while It is a little hard to hear... I just think that she doesnt' have much emotion behind her voice. Maybe I'm just not listening right or something, but maybe the "soundtrack" {hey it is a movie} she will have more emotion... by the way, I am mainly refering to the song "Without You"

Fredi's Joanne was a personal fav - esp. in TMOLM...

I was most upset about her...

Other than Out TOnight and Light My Candle, I didn't much care for Daphne's voice...I mean, it's fine...but kind of annoyed me after a while...

Alright, I just listened to it - easier to hear at the end...

I think she sounds absolutely amazing. She has a beautiful voice. And those high notes - ME-Freakin-OW...

I can't wait to see her...

BSo, what you hear on that clip is Anthony singing along to his track. The loudest voice you hear is Anthony live, and his track is in the background. The SECOND time, you can hear Adam's voice on the track, too. The reason it sounds so weird isn't him doing anything wrong, but it's because you're hearing the low part alone.

It sounds really weird without the other part. The first time I heard it, I was like "Oh my GOD what did they change?!" then I realized I just wasn't hearing Adam's vocals.
