Someone else had this short review:
"Rob Lake Magic show. Poof! It's gone."

Jay Armstrong Johnson was the guest today.

Quiet possibly one of the worst things I have seen on Broadway. And to make it worse our special guest was Seth Rudetsky.
Such a missed oppritunity to do a cool magic show centering the muppets

So I'm sure Seth tried his best to make himself the center of attention.

Sorry you had to endure both the show and an appearance by Seth. Did he happen to mention his cruises, charity work, showbiz friend’s, and the fact he’s the co author of the Broadway show Disaster? He mentions this in every conversation he has, it’s exhausting!

Wow -- from the online comments, this one could end up giving Suzanne Somers' The Blonde in the Thunderbird a run for its money as the All Time Worst.

Don’t talk bad about Thunderbird! It was amazing. Her rendition of If I Only Had a Brain was a highlight

Hardly. This magic show is disappointing at best due to the promises it doesn’t deliver on (The Muppets). Again, the magic (if you like magic) is fun to see up close. There’s nothing groundbreaking about it or stuff you’ll tell your grandkids you saw live but it’s hardly a jaw dropping embarrassment like “Thunderbird” and especially that “If I Only Had a Brain” moment, was. That’s the stuff of legends right there and I thank God every day I got to see that live.

True -- but only if it we're counting the early previews, where Craig Bierko's character breaks into a morgue looking for the body of his victim, but in the the process he fondles another copse and sings about his necrophilia fantasies!

is this the shortest run of a show since broadway opened post-covid?
it must be right?
Posted: 11/17/25 at 11:05am
Yes, it is. It ran even fewer performances than Dana H. / Is This a Room, which opened right when Broadway reopened post-shutdown.
I'm hard pressed to think of a show in recent memory running fewer performances. Glory Days, maybe?
