Seeing this tonight, out of curiosity, and Kit. But if I hate it so much that I can't even hate-watch, can I leave at intermission and not miss anything?

Do whatever feels right for you. I hated the production but sat through it without being tortured. The cast is pretty cute.

You'd miss the second act.

"

I didn't really love the first act, but I also didn't hate it a much as I thought I would.

But I wished I'd missed the second act.

R+J becomes the second show of the season to recoup. (Oh, Mary was the first)

I didn't love this show, but those were some impressive box office numbers.  Good for them.

Interesting stat on the age of the theater In the deadline article.

Good for them on the recoupment! This wasn't my cup of tea by a long shot, but I appreciate the fact that this brought in a lot of younger theatre-goers!

I’m glad the play recouped! How did they get the stats on the ages of buyers? I went up and bought a ticket at box office but was never asked for my birthdate.

Somehow I thought last season’s Enemy of the People held the box office record for weekly grosses but given R+J had the holiday season plus 2 stars, it makes sense how it beat the record.

I imagine it's through the surveys they email or text to folks after they attend the show. It probably doesn't cover everyone, but could be a good representative sample.
