What would you say is the rarest cast recording you own?

I have a couple of those deleted Polydor recordings: Whoop-Up, Mystery of Edwin Drood with the multiple confessions and Dick Datcherys, Johnny Johnson, etc.

I have a CD that has the original cast of SHOW BOAT, SUNNY and LIDO LADY. There's about 8-9 songs from each show. It's very crackly. It's from 1928 i believe.

Well Whoop-Up, Drood, and the Dench A Little Night Music seem to fetch the most money on Ebay.

Yeah, I figured Wicked was the rarest of them all.

I know the answer changes from time to time with reissues coming out occasionally. I was just wondering what was considered hard to find these days. I'm a wimpy collector by comparison to some of you, but I have (probably) more than my fair share at least.

Wow, some of the ones mentioned here I didn't even know were rare! I knew I had something in the Mystery of Edwin Drood and King David Cds (though I don't listen to either very often), but 110 in the Shade? Really? Kiss of the Spider Woman with Vanessa Williams?

Another one I have that I know is worth something is the newer Saturday Night Cd with the misspelling of Sondheim's name on the sleeve.

The Chicago Australian Cast Recording is really expensive too, Jerome Robbins' Broadway and Grease with Brooke Shields are very rare too.

Wow, you actually named one that I have... Jerome Robbins' Broadway. I had no idea it was rare. I picked it up used a few years ago for six bucks. (Double CD)

Actually i dont know how rare it is cuz I have it as well. I also have phantom (colm wilkinson though not sure if thats rare) I also have the origial cast recording of Windy City.

Supposedly the OOBC recording of "Zanna Don't" will become a rarity once it's reworked for Broadway.
And I don't know how rare it is, but I have the CD of "Gilda Live."
