I saw Patti Lupone buying tampons and kettle corn at Walgreens. She paid in pennies and called the checkout girl an "injun" before taking off her bra and saying "the girls need to breathe!".

Seems like I hit the jackpot at dinner tonight. Sitting across the room were Gavin Creel, Celia Keenan Bolger, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Laura Benanti, Stephen Pasquale, Victoria Clarke, and Justin Guarini. I didn't bother them, though. Didn't want to disturb their dinner.

Ah! Victoria Clarke, that's who it was. I was at Women on the Verge and I saw her and recognized her but couldn't remember from what. Also saw Joe Mantello with Joel Grey and I did a big dramatic head turn and gawk when I saw Joel Grey pass me.

Glinda, where did you have dinner? And am I the only one fantasy casting that group of people in a show?

My family and I ate at the French bistro across the street.

I saw Joel Grey too. The doorman completely insulted him. The exchange went something like this:

DM: Can I help you with something?
JG: Yes, I'm here to see Patti LuPone.
DM: Name?
JG: (sigh) Joel Grey.

I mean, come on. You work on Broadway and it's JOEL FREAKINGG GREY.

Caroline Rhea at the stage door for BBAJ. Funny story actually...
I was standing there poster and Playbill in hand and suddenly this woman in a white winter coat was shoving past me. I almost told her to "F*** Off" when she turned around, smiled, gestured some kids to come along, and asked if Darren Goldstein was still around before going in....Needless to stay I stood there mouth agape.
