So sad that the tour completely bypasses the South. Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, Orlando? Give us something N2N!
The BWW article does say that more cities will be announced "in the near future." I hope we get at least one stop down here!
It won't sell out. The trolls that frequent the show wouldn't pay higher than lotto.

Exactly.
Lotto and stage door that day are going to be beyond insane. Ugh.
But I am excited to take a friend to see Ripley when it comes into Hartford. I wonder when the rest of the cast will be announced....
It was also mentioned in another thread that Alice isn't the only OBC going tour!?!
Adam maybe?
Jo Mama will be reprising her role.

What did J. Robert Spencer leave to do?
Hire a lawyer.
Bobby Spencer may join her if Frankie Valli puts an end to the bootleg Jersey Boys tour.

Hahahaha I know what concert series you're referring to, but "the bootleg 'Jersey Boys' tour" makes me imagine a rinkydink production of the show touring around doing one-night stints in the middle of nowhere. :P

I am so excited!!!! I will get to see her in LA! Can't wait! :)
If Marin Mazzie is replacing her, I think that would be awesome!! Plus, opposite her real life husband would make for a great, but I'm sure very different, pairing.
How have I missed this news?
I DO think Alice was amazing in the role but I'm sure, her vocal chords will be glad for a rest before going on tour.
The closest this tour gets to me is about a six hour drive, but I am so doing it.
YAY!

You haven't really missed it yet, since it hasn't been officially announced.

I hope they announce some more markets because there are some surprisingly large markets left off, like San Francisco.
I am sure they will. I am thinking that some cities haven't announced their seasons yet, like ours. We won't get the announcement for our 2011 season until July and I am betting that it is coming to Denver.

adam greer--- do you know who the other obc is that will be touring??
"I hope the BWW article was right about her doing the whole tour, but I'm not holding my breath."
Why not? Merman made a lengthy tour of GYPSY in the early 60's, and Carol Channing has played HELLO,DOLLY! at every wide spot in the road over most of North America. Touring is a great theatre tradition. Sadly these days, once a Broadway actor makes it big, they're often snapped up by Hollywood and never heard from again.
Just because her voice isn't what it used to be. Hopefully her time off from July to November will give her enough time to get back on track.
i cant wait to see who's gonna take over for them.
btw does anyone know when jessica is leaving?

Since Aaron Tveit did a few guest appearances on Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty and was in Ghost Town, do you think he will play Gabe in the Los Angeles leg of the tour?
Jessica is on today at 2...I wish I could go
^ Is she on at 8? Or just 2 because I'm going at 8 and want to see Alice again.
I believe just 2 not 8
Yeah, Ripley is back in the show tonight. However, Brian D'Arcy James is out (and missed the matinee, too). Michael Berry is on.
