I believe this is now King of the Hill's 13th (!) season. Kathy does such a brilliant job voicing Peggy Hill. She's clearly not hurting for the cash, but she would definitely be awesome in Xanadu. That being said, I would probably check out Roseanne too!

Bette Midler would be a fun replacement for Mary Testa. But she's got her Vegas shtick.

I hope this is a rumor, Roseanne doesn't seem like a very big draw to the crowds in this day and age.

I really wish Ellen DeGeneres didn't have her talk show, she seems like an amazing replacement!

Nathan is great but since there are already two men playing women in the show there really isn't much of an impact or joke there.

I agree about Bette. She would be great in the show if that were to happen.

I dont think anyone really knows for sure who the replacements are going to be. (although I think Ben Vereen is just about definite) -- Maybe Roseanne HAS been offered the role (replacing Mary Testa (or attempting to!) for 6 weeks.

Over at ATC, they are saying that the deal with Rosie fell thru.

Thats the name I had heard. I still want Lea DeLaria !!!

Someone else over at ATC spotted Erin Davie at the show last night holding a script and talking to cast members.

Is she lined up to go in as Kira?

I wouldnt consider Erin Davie stuntcasting, if that is what you are referring to. (Roseanne-- well, thats another story)

If Erin is indeed joining the cast, she could be replacing Kate, who was Patti Murin's U/S.

None of this stuntcasting is confirmed, and I don't think it's desperate. The show is doing just fine and I think certain people would leap at the opportunity to do such a show.

And Patti is going to be out for a week as well this month, so not sure who would play her track, with Kate joining "Hairspray", so Davie could be a real possibility.
