Fran in Xanadu is about as realistic as the Kathy Griffin "rumor" that was born and died on BWW.

Uh, eww...This would turn me off from seeing the show again. I had such a blast on Saturday. Any good view of being able to practically see up Cheyenne Jackson's shorts is okay in my book, although that wasn't the main reason I liked the show so much, but it is up there. LOL! I don't care if Roseanne can sing or not, the only thing I have ever liked her in was when she played the voice of baby Julie in Look Who's Talking Too.

I liked her in "She-Devil." But, I really went to see that movie for Merryl.

Someone on BWW posted that the new bit of stunt-casting they were trying for would "eclipse" Whoopi Goldberg. Roseanne certainly doesn't do that, in terms of name recognition or box office appeal.

Honestly, the producers of this show are extremely smart, clever, and savvy. I think when all is said and done, they will make the right decision. I doubt they would cast a total dud; they know what they're doing...which hopefully doesn't involve Roseanne but whatever.

Since this really wouldnt be spilling beans (at this point), being that it has been mentioned on ATC, Ben Vereen is supposed to be filling in for Tony Roberts for 6 weeks--- Someone is also supposed to be filling in for Mary Testa for 6 weeks as well---- But name I hear is NOT Roseanne. (or Liza or Fran)

I agree with Bobby, Roseanne would be a great choice for eiher part. She has name recognition and she would nail the comedy. For those of us who saw it, Whoopi was far from a great singer but she sold it , and I'm sure Roseanne would as well.
ATC is also saying they went after Joel Grey and Liza. I'm not sure if Liza has the stamina fo 8 shows a week.

What if Tom Cruise spelled for Cheyenne? He'd be awful, can't sing that I'm aware of, is too old for the part, is a real jerk, but God, would that send the box office off the planet!

Curtis' last performance? AAWWWW, that makes me very sad. Will be in NYC this Saturday, definitely going to see the show on Saturday night. He is SO GREAT in the show!!!!!!!
