I wish!, You Wish!, We all wish! But it ain't gonna happen!
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
I find it funny how many (including me) were sold on the idea of Sara Gettlefinger playing one of the twins only to have it said that Erin Davie will be playing one of the twins instead.
"[Gore] was widely perceived as arrogant. If you know something, you're not smart. You're a smarty-pants. It's annoying. People get annoyed with your knowledge. It goes back to high school, to not doing your homework ... 'There's something I should know, I don't know why I should know it but someone knows it and I don't. So I'm going to have to make fun of him now.'"

You're young next to me, Jaystarr! Actually, working at SIDESHOW during it's original run, was very similar to Passing Strange, IMHO. Very difficult to market (who wants to see a show about siamese twins??! was the thinking amongst the masses). However terrific the show was, it was dark material w/a love story, and hard to explain to people. The performances were to die for, especially Norm Lewis and Jeff McCarthy (and "the girls", of course!). The cast and crew was especially close-knit, too, and KNEW they had an artistic, beautiful show. Personally, I loved that "Egyptian" number. VERY cool indeed. In my dreams, I would like to see this revival directed by Hal Prince!
