This is going to be very interesting.
It's such an American story and country music isn't even called country music in the UK.

This is a bold choice. Every other Best Musical nominee this year has announced a forthcoming national tour, so I'm glad to see this title has a professional future too (though I suppose Shucked will be a bigger hit once available for licensing).
I'm curious to see how this will fare across the pond.

What is country music called there? To be fair, I wouldn't consider it that "American" of a story, or at least not more than many other classical/well-known musicals. It does also feel like weird move to me, but the Daniel Fish Oklahoma seemed to do fairly well there so we'll see.

Huh?! Country music is called country music here. Everyone would know full well what that style of music means.
Whether it's a hit is another matter but we do all know what country music is and use that term.
