Where did this thing come from? NYTW? When? I must have blinked and missed it. Have producers these days gone completely insane? Are no lessons learned from Bloody Bloody, Title of Show, that Stew show that I can't even remember what it was called and a ton of other things? Do they just know these shows are going to flop and then hope they will get their money back through subsidiary income on the back end? Who are these people with disposable income and if you find them, please let them know that I have a dancing napkin that I am anxious to see headline a Broadway show and it should be a huge hit!

What also boggles my mind is how this managed to gain enough capital to go to Broadway, but a much more accessible show like PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES couldn't muster up the cash...

Hahaha yeah I'm glad you remember. I've really gone all out on this one, hoping it will pull through! We've been told that Denzel Washington and Will Smith have both auditioned for the lead role so it's going to be big.
Just think, you could be that one guy who moves on to another show and can include as a footnote in the program bio: "Additionally, [real name] may be best remembered as the only investor to recoup his initial seed money and turn a significant profit from the legendary disaster Soul Doctor."

The complete cast was announced today and it's really a solid ensemble they have. Maybe the show won't be THAT bad.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I remember as a kid at Camp Ramah in the Poconos when Shlomo Karlbach showed up with his guitar and led the whole camp in a singalong. Big sweaty guy who wanted everyone to join him in a conga line of Yidishkeit singing. Oy vey... He seemed way too messianic and cultish for me to get into. Good luck to them making a show people would actually go see.
