Will it extend beyond next January or does it depend on how it does at the Tony awards?

Last I heard it was extended until sometime in 2009. I don't think I ever read anywhere as to when in 09 it was going to be extended to but only that it was going to play into next year.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the show is going to be an open run. It is selling well enough to be one.

Posted: 5/26/08 at 8:00pmIt's an open-ended run, but yes, it will certainly open up a new block of tickets after January 09. It's gonna run for a while...

Posted: 5/26/08 at 8:06pmIt is an open-ended run and will easily run into the winter of 2010.

Posted: 5/26/08 at 9:49pmI could see this pulling of close to a 5 year run.

Posted: 5/26/08 at 9:54pmwait, would they have to transfer if they wanted a longer run? i thought that lincoln center put up shows often.

Posted: 5/26/08 at 10:19pmI guess Lincoln Center would have to put on subscription shows in other houses, like Roundabout used to do.

Posted: 5/27/08 at 7:52pmThat wouldn't be unusual for them. They mounted Seascape and Awake and Sing during The Light in the Piazza's run.

Posted: 5/27/08 at 8:55pmI'm sure this show will run and run but don't count on Szot, Morrison, and O'Hara to be staying in the show beyond January.
