Of course removing that credit doesn't do anything for him, especially when you add in Three Days to Kill.

Jordan, be realistic. Lea's Single White Female-esque obsession with Barbra is so deep, she may audition with My Coloring Book about losing Moritz as a friend.

I just don't understand how a SPRING AWAKENING film adaptation would work without completely re-writing/re-working the musical's book. Having an early-20s actor playing a child works on stage, but not on the silver screen.

Does anyone else agree? If they re-write the book to make them late-teens, wouldn't it completely take away from the original tone the musical's book (and original play) had?

^^^ that is exactly what I associate him with! :)

As for the movie, I think it's a pretty terrible idea. I don't think the musical numbers would work on film and we really need to be honest here, the book of the musical is HORRIBLE. The music is great and I listen to the recording regularly but I don't have any interest in sitting through the musical again any time soon, honestly.

This is not Wedekind's play. This is a different work based on the play. The age of the characters in the original play does not matter much here.

I actually think the material would work perfectly fine on film if the rock concert element from the stage version became a music video concept. If all the songs were filmed like a music video (similar to the Bitch of Living music video that the OBC filmed) it could be a decent adaptation.

I would bet anything they film it like a period piece with, as suggested, rock music type fantasy sequences for the songs.
