thank you for putting these all in one place online. crossing my fingers that we will see a lot more of these on film and broadcast in theatres in future.  I love seeing musicals live AND its great to go back and see shows again on dvd or see them for the first time if i missed the show or a particular cast.

also please add the new dvd of Newsies Live that was filmed and released this year with Jeremy Jordan

The original 2002 London production was filmed, which was vastly different from the 2003 Broadway production.

There seems to be something in the "Live from Lincoln Center" contract that excludes later commercial release. It never seems to happen. I can think of two exceptions, one of them only apparent: The NY Philharmonic Company was first seen in movie theaters, and LfLC only later acquired it for broadcast; even so, subsequently clearing the rights for DVD release took a couple of years as I recall.

The other exception is genuine: the Carousel with the NY Philharmonic. I was very surprised to see that turn up for sale. The fact that that happened does seem to open the door that maybe someday that South Pacific might be released after all. (Also The Light in the Piazza, which had a number of intermission features that seemed designed to be DVD extras.)

Only a few concert presentations of Broadway musicals that aired as part of PBS' LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER have been issued on DVD.  Broadway productions that have aired as part of LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER contractually will not be released on DVD.

Yes, this is why I am excited! Have wanted to see the original London version.

Also the 25th anniversary performance of Miss Saigon, DVD and Blu Ray both released in the UK.

Also, all of the recent BroadwayHD live stream/filmed recordings, like the revival of SHE LOVES ME and FALSETTOS have been transferred to DVD by fans and included menus and bonus features like the pre-show/intermission interviews, promos, etc. So technically those are also on DVD. Heck, even the recent National Theatre production of FOLLIES has been transferred into a fan-made DVD.

My list only includes DVD that were official released, so those streaming shows aren't in the list, but I would love to see them released on DVD.

Is newsies out on a DVD. Amazon doesn't seem to sell it as such.

As mentioned above, NEWSIES: The Broadway Musical is only available digitally.  No physical DVD release was ever mentioned.
