TDF isn't an end all be all for how a show is selling, because producers decide when shows end up on TDF. They may choose to not put tickets on TDF for a multitude of reasons, or be more conservative with TDF tickets until only the day before the performance etc. so it's not a good indicator. The better indicator is actually going and checking seat charts to see how much is sold out (though even then there may be house seats held back that aren't an actual sold ticket).
You can look on Telecharge and see, in real time, how shows are selling- and even this is skewed in the production's favor, since they can block off tickets. Just quickly looking at Suff's first week, its houses for its first weekend performances are... not close to being full, we're looking at 60-70%. Looking at performances at the end of April, a month after it starts previews, you see weekend performances that are maybe 40% full, and I suspect a good chunk of those unavailable premium seats are held by the production. The houses for a month after that, in late May, are even worse. This is not a show that any reasonable person can say is "selling well” right now.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
Broadway Flash said: "You can tell this is selling well because the handful of dates it was on TDF, it sold instantly. Same with Patriots. I haven’t seen Hells Kitchen up there so far."
Lord have mercy, this account must be an AI Bot set to say the opposite of the correct thing at all times.
