Every time I see this title I think it’s an adaptation of 2002’s infamous Guy Ritchie/Madonna bomb Swept Away.

Sweeney Todd was in the Lunt-Fontanne, not the Longacre

John Gallagher, Jr., Stark Sands, Adrian Blake Enscoe, and Wayne Duvall will continue with the production.

10 ensemblists and 4 swings will round out the Broadway cast. 

“Also returning from the show’s run at Arena Stage include ensemble members Hunter Brown, Matt DeAngelis, Cameron Johnson, Brandon Kalm, Michael J. Mainwaring, Orville Mendoza, Tyrone L. Robinson, and John Sygar.

New to the cast are Josh Breckenridge, Rico LeBron, John Michael Finley, Chase Peacock, Robert Pendilla, and David Rowen.”

90 minute musical, no intermission.  It actually seems to be selling pretty well, maybe the Avett Brothers are more popular than I thought.  They’re  doing Sunday evenings, along with a few other shows this fall including Tammy Faye and A Wonderful World

Previews are selling well, this show is really special and I hope people give it a chance. The music is absolutely stunning and the design team have always been on point. Great looking cast.

Telecharge discount code is CAPTAIN, and they've also lowered prices for previews. Just got a side mezzanine seat for $50. I took a look at the scenic design, and it looks similar to Life of Pi, which suggests that off to the side in the mezzanine shouldn't be problematic as far as sightlines are concerned. Too close in the orchestra might, though.
