According to the Daily Mail, Samantha Mumba has been cast in a big budget Hollywood movie musical but it doesn't say what one. Anyone have any ideas?

omg I haven't heard her name in years. I forgot she even existed.
I wonder if they are implying that it will the same genre of sung-through pop operas that Les Miz belongs to.
Or if they are just referring to scale of the production.

I think they mean the scale of the budget. I'm sure she's been doing Panto for the last few years so this is a HUGE step up if it's true. Maybe the producers are hoping to create another Samantha Barks?? At least Samantha Barks proved herself before being cast as Eponine.
There's literally not a single musical I can imagine her doing, none that would have a budget as high as Les Mis

But why would they pay her a million to play Grace? That character could almost be written out of the show. They could get a nobody to play it for a quarter of a million.
And I don't see them paying a million for Into the Woods unless she's playing Red Riding Hood.

Well, it seems the producers of Annie have been fairly open about the casting process, so I don't think they'd want to keep her casting a secret.
On the other hand, the Into the woods production seems to be quite secretive.

So it's probably Into The Woods. Surprised they'd look at someone like her since she's hardly a star anymore, she hasn't even been making a name for herself on the down low - she literally done nothing recently!
£1 million is a LOT of money, cannot wait to see what she does with whatever role she gets.

Seriously, why would they pay her a mil to play Grace? The part of Grace could be cut out and nobody would know the difference.
