Woah
Well this certainly calls for a trip to London.
Is this a new trend or something?
I don't feel like it's anything new. I'll be in London when this is playing but one person shows just aren't really my thing.

Not new but it is definitely experiencing a revival as it’s economical and a potential star turn.
I hope they perform the portrait a la Jekyl and Hyde (which would have been a better choice for a one person show).
I am absolutely an advocate for one-person shows in this economic climate.

I guess, I'm certainly not opposed to one person shows. But for me, it is a question of the why? Why does this story need to be a one person show rather than an adaptation with an ensemble of actors?
She has the most realistic chance to become the youngest actor to achieve the Triple Crown of Acting!

Jodie Comer is 2/3 of the way there, is 6 years younger, and has more of a film career. I think you said some negative things about her on another thread, so I won't be surprised if you don't agree, but I don't see any reason why Sarah Snook would have a better chance than her of winning an Oscar. Never mind the fact that Sarah's Tony is hypothetical, but Jodie's is actual.

I never mentioned Comer. She wasn't even on my mind writing that. And Sarah's role is far more demanding and harder and requires a lot more subtlety. It would not surprise me if she ends up winning both the Olivier and Tony. And Sarah's movie career is just starting. Comer's is falling pretty badly and no one seems to want her.

There is nothing she can't do. Plus, she will now sell lots of tickets.
