I haven't actually seen it, not on broadway or on tour, but I am currently stage managing it.. it's a great show.. lots of fun..

"Someday I'm going to have a baby and I'm gonna name her L'il Mimi Marquez and I and will sing to her every day and when she's a toddler I will say "L'il Mimi Marquez, clad only in a bubble diaper, will perform her famous play pen handcuff dance to the sounds of breast milk being pumped!" ~Kringas
The tour was OK. It was nothing really special. The broadway production seemed to be better.

I saw the national tour with Cathy Rigby and I loved it. I was a little POed that "A Day for the Cat in the Hat" was out, and that the show didn't open with the swirling vortex like on Broadway, (cuz' the white box for the tour was just fu*ked up...) but over all I was pretty happy with the changes that were made. Even though all I really had to compare was the CD, cuz' I didn't see it on Broadway. I'm not sure exactly how different it was. But, I love it. I think it's an adorable show. It's embarrassing, but, yeah "Solla Solew" made me cry when I saw it live...
Like I said I haven't actually seen it other than the production I'm stage managing, but it's been fun.. As with any show it' s got great potential provided it's staged right.. Besides how can I complain about a show that has a motorized bath tub that I get to play with?

This has been discussed a lot here. The synopsis of the discussion is this: the Bway show sucked big time, and the tour version (which is the version they license through MTI) sucks a little less.
Overall, some of the music is okay, but this is not a life-altering show in any way shape or form. However, some people like good ol fun for the kids. I'm just not one of those people.

I absolutely loved Seussical when our Mainstagers did it. There was so much energy and life in the characters, and the show was phenominal enough to make me want to see it on Broadway or on tour.
