Showgirls is one of those movies that you really can't parody because it's so bad to begin with it's like a parody already.

If the amount of self-satisfied mugging in the trailer is indicative of how much there is in the show, I don't think I could handle 90 minutes of that. Plus songs.

Showgirls was one of those movies that was so bad it was good. I liked the way this trailer parodied how angry Nomi was during the entire film.

First of all, original poster just joined so shill alert.

Second, they can toss around the word "parody" all they want, but there is actually a real musical version of this being discussed with the film studio, from what I understand, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone hits these people with an injunction and shuts them right down.

I'm pretty sure heads are gonna roll here. Amateurs using the "parody" card to try to ride to fame on the back of copyrighted material. I hope they are not surprised when they hear from the studio.

From the quality of that clip, I'd much rather just watch the movie again. Someone should tell the creators that 'parody' doesn't mean 'using the exact dialogue while winking.'

Haven't they already tried "Jawbreaker" and "Heathers"? I wouldn't pay to see those or "Showgirls."

Actually, the Heathers musical is brilliant and they didn't "try" it, it's coming to New York. It's going to be great.

Jawbreakers, from what I heard, is dead in the water.
