Shows having performances during the SuperBowl

Is there is list somewhere of shows that are actually performing this Sunday evening (Superbowl Sunday)?  I know many of the shows that usually have Sun night shows have rescheduled them at other times to have Superbowl Sunday night off.

Kinky Boots and Les Mis I believe have Sunday night shows as usual but I am wondering if there is a list somewhere so I don't have to look up each show individually. It might be a good time to find tickets to something I have not had a chance to see yet.

Usually the Broadway League maintains a list of the weekly show schedule for that week (occasionally it is wrong though). You may be able to check there.

Seeing Allegiance tomorrow night. Wanted to watch the super bowl but got a great deal. The show is closing and since no NY team is in it, I made the right decision. I will check the score at intermission and catch the highlights on the 11 PM news. I will miss the bloated halftime show but that's life.

There are only 7 shows that regularly have Sunday evening shows.  The only reason they'd ever cancel a show is because of sales, not to let the cast/crew watch the Super Bowl.

Thanks for that list... which unfortunately is not totally correct but it's a start.

But yes some shows have cancelled their regular shows for tonight and moved them to an extra weekday show - Matilda for one that added a show last Wednesday night (they don't usually have a two show Wed at this time of year) and Finding Neverland cancelled tonight and added an extra show this coming Wednesday night (which also only has a Wed matinee this time of year as a rule). 

 

For today, it's not to let the cast and crew watch the Super Bowl -  they just know a lot of people will be watching the Super Bowl instead of going to the theater.

 

I guess it's considered like a holiday week - things get re-organized. There are some changes presidents week as well.

 

I will also wait and see what TKTS has to offer when it opens.

I wish we lived in a world where sporting events were cancelled for the Tony Awards instead of Broadway shows being cancelled for the Super Bowl.

Not everyone feels the same. Everyone has their priorities. You choose which is more important. The Super Bowl is once a year whereas Broadway shows are 8 times a week. No comparison here. I will see a show that is closing and watch the game later. Not a big deal I made a decision which satisfied both needs.

Yes I agree. Plus the Super Bowl is seen once a year all over the country (and then some) while only people here get to see a Broadway show - so the audience is much larger for football. Personally I don't care a bit about the Super Bowl but I get the distinction.

 

^^No one cancelled a show for the Super Bowl - they just moved it to another time when they hope more people are interested in coming, rather than glued to the TV screen.

Not even Broadway shows cancel for the Tonys (BoM is still performing that night), so I think that world is still a ways off.

I'm seeing Daddy Long Legs tonight. At the time I bought the ticket I wasn't even aware it was Superbowl (that's how low my interest in Football is, haha), I just scooped up a good ticket deal for that performance.

Eh, the hype will probably have died down by then. I would love to see a Broadway cast performing at the Super Bowl one year though, might give me some incentive to watch :)
