Hey, I was wondering what shows have been released on DVD. I mean like a live performance, not the movies. My friend made a list of things he wants. It only says "Live Broadway Performances". All help is appreciated. :)

Don't know if the latter two are currently available for purchase.

(But perhaps your friend wants to GO to the theater.)

Not all of these are live (many of them are film versions) but it is worth looking through, to get an idea.

Thanks guys! Maybe I am better off taking him tot the theatre. But like I said before he didnt specify ANY shows. So what are some of the best shows that are open now. Me and him saw N2N, ALNM, and La Cage so what are some others. ( I think he prefers musicals, not to be picky)

Also: A Tale of Two Cities was filmed "in concert" but were on a stage with props & in costume, acting scenes out.

Les Miserables was filmed for Concert as well - which I believe the new DVD release includes the documentary "Stage by Stage" or something which features pro-shot footage from several Les Mis productions.

It is not a "filmed show" but Sweeney Todd-In Concert with LuPone, Hearn, Patrick Harris and Clark is very well done and sung. I finally watched it yesterday and really enjoyed it. It includes some nice special features including interviews with the cast, Sondheim and Lonnie Price. Lots of behind the scenes footage is included also.
