What shows do we think will come to Broadway this season but have yet to announce?

Hoping for The Honeymooners to transfer this spring after its Paper Mill run in the fall. Also hoping Little Dancer comes in this season.

Off the top of my head, Dreamgirls and Mean Girls are the only ones we're waiting to announce details at any moment.
Next, I've been hearing more and more rumblings of Gypsy gearing up for the spring, too. Also, whatever happened to that adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird?
I can't believe there aren't more new musicals set to open this season. Holding out for more announcements in the coming weeks/months.
Edit: Also, for what it's worth, here's the thread that's been keeping track of confirmed productions set to open during the 2017-2018 seaosn.

I saw Little Dancer with a friend 2 years ago in D.C. I hope they've improved the book since then. I can't really recall the music, but I remembered thinking it wasn't ready for a Broadway transfer. My friend also agreed. The best part of the show was the reveal at the end (I'll hold off on revealing what it was, but it wasn't a surprise really, but was pretty cool).

I'd love for the supposed Damn Yankees revival to come next Spring, but I highly doubt it. I'm also awaiting news of the Gypsy and Secret Garden transfers. For more original works, I'm getting pretty excited over Roman Holiday and Mean Girls.

Ugh I'm so over Gypsy revivals but there are a lot of good revivals already announced. I'm just so unexcited about the new musicals list right now so I hope there's more especially after this fantastic season for new musicals. I'm also hoping for The Honeymooners and I'm intrigued by The Preacher's Wife but haven't heard anything on that in quite a long time.

The Band's Visit takes the Tony and the other nomination goes to Frozen.
So, what do we have coming in for 2018 - 2019?

Any more ramblings about the Rob Ashford Best Little Whorehouse? I know Kristin Cheoweth did the workshop at some point. However, by now it could be dead.

Playbill lists Mean Girls and The Minutes as absolutely coming to Broadway, only just without a theatre.
Of their "In the Works" shows, I wouldn't be surprised if any of these ended up on Broadway before the season ended:
I also think we'll see Roman Holiday before the season ends.

I'm not sure if they'll make the jump because (so far) it seems to be a weaker season or if they're not ready and will have to wait but... Hadestown, Mean Girls, Half Time, Roman Holiday, Freaky Friday
Any word on Sousatzka? I stopped paying attention to their headlines. It seems like it could provoke another pages-long thread about crazy producing to keep the board occupied.

Would love to see Ride The Cyclone and Tiny Beautiful Things come in as well. With a pretty quiet and harmless season that's been announced so far, I think these small shows could really make a splash.
I think Hadestown will wait another year post-Canada in December. After all, they're not releasing their cast recording until 15 months after they recorded it, they're obviously not in a rush.
And as as much as I'd love Freaky Friday, I think Disney is planning on releasing the rights to too many regional companies that would compete against Broadway.

A lot if what's been said on here I totally agree with! I really hope that some of the more obscure/experimental shows without name recognition are able to make it (let's face it, right now the original musicals roster is pretty weak, sans The Band's Visit). However, personally I'm pining for a Gypsy transfer, as I haven't been interested in theatre long enough to have seen any Broadway production of it (and it's one of my all-time faves now). Maybe not for this season, though, because the revival field is pretty crowded.

Brigadoon is being heavily promoted as a NYCC Encores! marquee event. I suspect they'll try to transfer it.

Would love to see Ride the Cyclone transfer, but don't they have a Seattle engagement this spring? Maybe they have eyes on next season. I just want a cast album out of that show. It's been far too long since I've heard the music.

Ride the Cyclone will be in Seattle (co-produced by 5th Ave + ACT Theatre) from March 9 to May 20, so it looks quite unlikely that it'll make this season! Fingers crossed for next season though.
Would love to see Little Dancer; if I recall correctly, did another workshop in lieu of a second tryout? So hopefully they've worked on it a bit more!

I haven't noticed any more promo than they had for the Megan Hilty Annie Get Your Gun.
Speaking of limited engagements, I wish more people could have seen the recent Shakespeare in the Park production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. But some theatrical events only have a short life.

A friend who worked on "Tiny Beautiful Things" said it was transferring this fall, but feel like it would have been announced already. And it would need the Booth or Circle to survive. Maybe it was deemed too small for Broadway?

I know on the Barry Weissler episode of Behind the curtain, he talked about a revival of Annie Get Your Gun, so maybe the rights are tied to him, and he let them do the concert at City Centre.
Wasn't The Band Wagon fall production, also spoken about as a "pre-Broadway" production?
I could see some interesting musicals try to come in this season, thinking that Spongebob, Frozen, and Mean Girls will get the kids and teens (I know some 28+ will definitely see those shows too) but something different could try to come in to be something of a more "intellectual" or even low risk nature. Light now, The Band's Visit speaks for the intellectual slot

Direct quote from the lead producer of Roman Holiday in late june was "We are coming to broadway this fall-We have the theatre reserved and are just waiting for the current show in that theatre to close" Ideal will be for first previews ito happen in September-October 2017." He also said they could not make any NYC start date announcements until the other show announces its closing.
It was another source closely connected with the show that stated the intention was for a "limited broadway run of up to six months and not worry about awards" then tour the show nationally on the brand recognition of the Roman Holiday movie brand and the Cole Porter songs.
