Hello all--
I host a radio show on which I play "the best mix of Broadway showtunes and magical movie musical moments," in an hour-long format with a theme each show--much like Bill Rudman. I've been doing the show for 6yrs now, and coming up with new themes gets harder and harder every week. Sometimes it's just finding enough songs for a theme. So I'm hoping you'll help me in compiling my playlists and coming up with themes.
THIS WEEK'S THEME: "I've Got" songs.
CURRENT PLAYLIST:
Everything I've Got--By Jupiter
Ev'rybody's Got the Right--Assassins
I've Got A Crush In You--Love's Labours Lost (movie)
I've Got A Dream--Tangled
(I've Got A)Golden Ticket--Charlie & the Chocolate Factory
I've Got Rings on My Fingers-- Babes In Arms (movie)
I Got Life--Hair
I Got Lucky In the Rain--Lucky In the Rain
I Got Rhythm--I have several versions--which is your favorite?
I Got the Sun In the Morning--Annie Get Your Gun
I Gotta Crow--Peter Pan
We Got Annie--Annie (Movie)
Ya Got Trouble--The Music Man
You've Got That Thing--Fifty Million Frenchmen
It doesn't have to have "I Got" in the title, but it should say that a lot. Make sense? Can't wait to see what we come up with!
Also, got a theme to suggest for next week?

After Eight, thanks for all these ideas! I've already done dreams, food, fashion, money, and foreign languages, but I'll see if I can use some of those others.
You'd have to do research, but what about songs that were #1 on the Billboard (or other musical) chart. You could fudge by picking a song from a #1 charting cast recording/soundtrack, or perhaps a #1 charting song that was a cover and not from the original cast recording/soundtrack - or even a broadway song from a #1 album even if the song itself didn't go to #1. This would likely lean to older songs.
