Has anyone gone to the show post-opening? Is there any merch? We went during previews and was hoping to get a magnet (have one from nearly every show we've seen). I'm not sure if it was a creative decision to forgo the the merch and concessions or if that was only during previews.

On Wednesday, an usher told us that they wouldn't be selling anything at the show. I just really want a windowcard!

Maybe they are trying to totally recreate the atmosphere of the original show.

I also find it strange that they haven't released any b-roll to broadway.com or anywhere, unless I've missed it.
There's only little parts from news reports.

Based on the atmosphere when you are in the theatre I agree that this is the case. No late seating, no returning to your seat if you leave, no ice in the drinks, etc.
They probably could have made a lot of money with merch given how much people like the artwork so if creating authenticity is the reason for not having it, I really respect that decision.

If that is indeed the case, I respect that too. Bringing that kind of authenticity to the experience makes it even more special.
Though I would love to have that window card myself!

It must be a Scott Rudin thing. The first time I saw Shuffle, they were not allowing drinks in seats, like at his plays. Seems like they reached a compromise with no noisy ice, which I appreciate greatly.

I do like the no ice drinks, sometimes I need to have a drink at a show, but the no one thing is good.

I actually saw both Blackbird and Shuffle Along yesterday and wished I had been able to grab a magnet from each. Do other Rudin shows have merchandise?

I was there last night, and they weren't selling merchandise. Honestly, the Playbill is beautiful enough for me!

Yes. They still have magnets ($5), a purple Diaster! t-shirt, a black hoodie and mirrorball keychain. They no longer have windowcards and programs.

because people seemed to have missed it the first time ill restate that Shuffle Along will have merchandise but it will not begin being sold until the TUESDAY following the Tony awards.

Do you know what the rationale is for that? I guess I have to take back my props for authenticity praise. This just seems like they didn't have their act together or something.

I'm wondering if they were trying to hash out a neutral design or something, because by the time they start selling merchandise, Audra will be in the show but one more week, and so to sell merchandise with her likeness on it (i.e a windowcard) over the summer when she's not in it would look silly.

Well she's not on the show logo that everyone is obsessed with anyway (her name is but an image of her is not) so that wouldn't really be a problem.
