The show is actually great!! Can't remember the last time I saw a show in London where the audience was totally enjoying every minute of it - and I saw the thursday evening show!! Not even PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT musical (which I saw the next day) got the audience that well into it. I saw SISTER ACT again on Sat matinee and the same thing happened again, the audience just loved the show!
Alan Menken's score has some brilliant numbers in it ("Raise your voice", "Sunday morning fever", "Spread the love around", "Fabulous baby", "When I find my baby", "How I got the calling"... and the list goes on). The only song I didn't like much was "I could be that guy". The concept of the scene is good, but the song itself is just boring.
