Didn't want to have this tied up with the COVID cancellation thread. NYC is expected to see up to a foot of snow tomorrow with the worst being in the morning. The tristate area could see accumulations coming at 1-2 inches an hour in the morning. The LIRR & MTA have announced they expect service to be suspended early on Saturday. Usually that's an indicator that Broadway could see cancellations, too.
I was getting an update on Telecharge and the Shubert Facebook page that all shows will still go on but they are offering refunds or exchanges up to two hours before curtain.
It takes a lot of snow for NYC subways and stores and Broadway shutting down. Even after blizzards, Broadway hasn’t shut down nor the subway. If the subway is running, Broadway is open for business. We’re expecting a standard NYC snowstorm - not 20 inches of snow and the apocalypse.

Lolz. DeBlasio shut down all public transit in 2014 for a quarter inch of snow. Your statement is entirely false. NYC famously freaks out and goes into panic mode over nothing. It's always amusing to me as a person who grew up in a place with actual snow every single Winter.
I hope not. I have a ticket for MUSIC MAN on Sunday I got through StubHub and I know that’s gonna be a *lady dog* to get refunded if it is cancelled.

yeah! Remember that time that man made a mistake!?!? Well, that always happens based on that data point!!
Uh, yes actually he always made mistakes. He was a deeply hated mayor. My very clear point was that the tri state media loves to freak people out causing them to freak out and panic buy, and 99% of the time it turns out to be nothing. He didn't help anything by screwing up everyone's commute the several times he did that.
He gone (THANKFULLY) and perhaps the new administration doesn't do something stupid tomorrow.

Andy Cohen sure as hell knows he's gone.

I’ve been living in NYC since March 2015 and I’m referring to all recent snowstorms since. I’ve never experienced any shutdown or panic mode in NYC after any snow storm or blizzard since I’ve moved here. I remember walking to the supermarket in 5 feet of snow hours after a blizzard. All stores were open and people going about their business. Heck, in 2017 I directed a fashion editorial for VOGUE while a blizzard was in full mode. Yes, shoot was moved from 8am to 1pm but it went on without a hitch AND a team of 6 arrived on time and no one cancelled. Uber was running with no problem DURING the blizzard.
Right. The one where they shut everything down? Cool.

I was in the city when they closed all shows for the matinee and evening performances on Jan 23, 2016.

Won the Hadestown lottery for tomorrow’s matinee. The one Saturday I could go too! Not claiming the tickets since the train is already canceled. Try again another weekend.
Exceptions don't make rules.
I didn't think I would have to explain that.

Thank you. And neither snow storm in 2016 or 2017 had "five feet of snow".
