They couldn't keep another mother/daughter show running after both winning Tony Awards. I doubt any producer would put them into a show together where ticket sales have relied pretty heavily on the star power of the leads. I could see Mary Louise Wilson being cast opposite a big name, but I think it's highly unlikely that you will see Christine Ebersole playing Desiree in this production.

Posted: 9/20/10 at 12:11amI could see Michelle Pfeiffer. However, if they are looking for replacements I would imagine that it would be most likely to be somebody who has been on Broadway before. A star of the caliber I would imagine they would be looking for would probably be unwilling to make their Broadway debut as a third replacement, especially in a show that is not a guaranteed run (like going into Chicago for instance, where a star can go into that and not have to worry that they might be the one to cause it to close before it was expected to).
