Well and the fact that she said this is the only role that would bring her back to Broadway. Sorry Shoshie Poo, your voice isn't suited for Funny Girl, or even Funny Lady, which I will be staging in rotation starring Wonderboy.

I confess, I've always loved, loved, loved FUNNY LADY! There is some great music in that film. Not to mention some rather funny scenes as well.

did i say anything about shoshana bean? no, i was commenting on the fact that a fan of Kristin Chenoweth, a woman who has made a career of playing the same character for 20 years, was saying that someone else couldn't show depth in character. I don't care how good of a singer kristin chenoweth is, she is not a great actress, Hell, if i played the same role for 20 years, I could do it to perfection too. Try a new role Cheno.

Shoshanna can sing her ass off - and Elphaba is a great role for her - but she is not Tony material - and lets keep her away from anything written before 1990.

Bean's singing is great for the MTV set, but for Funny Girl (the only Broadway show she has on the record said she would do)? Hardly. Having an odd shaped nose doesn't make someone perfect for the role.

you obviously missed my good posts.

I only post bad things about OVER RATED PERFORMERS. i dont care how good applegate's comedic timing is, she's not fit for broadway musicals.

and like I said, Cheno may be a great singer (i agree she is0 but she is not a versatile actress, she hasn't played new role since she started. SHe is lauded as this goddess of musical theatre, and frankly, there is more to musical theatre than just being a great singer, you have to act too.


I didn't have a problem with what you siad cheno fan, i just can't stand it when people get deified for things that don't deserve deification. Cheno can sing, there is no disputing that.

me pointing out that Christina Applegate is not fit for the broadway musical does not make me rude, it makes me reasonable. There is a difference. And just because someone disagrees with you Ljay, does not mean they are rude. Why don't you get past the 6th grader mentality and then come back and talk to me. when you can stay calm while someone disagrees with you, then you will have my attention, and possible my respect of your opinion.


now, on a more On topic note.

Shoshane Bean in Funny Girl would make me boycott broadway. It's not a good role for her.
