Something Bad has happened over at the Apollo Vic

So, not sure if you all read the ridiculous laugh fest that is Broadway Secrets but I just had my weekly dose of fangirl hilarity. I noticed some of them were referring to an incident that happened last week at Wicked:



Just after the Kerry exited from the cornfield scene, during the silence when Fiyero is threatening Glinda, she said to her dresser "take those pins and throw them at the girls in the front row." Obviously that comment was private and only meant for the dresser, but unfortunately the sound technician left her microphone on and the whole theatre heard it. Hopefully the Kerry Ellis fandom will realise from this that their constant squeals and screams during the show are not encouraging, but rather distracting.

See...a lot of people are thinking: ooh she obviously hates those screaming fan girls, throwing pins at them, ouch!

The fangirls are thinking: OHMIGOD! OHMIGOD! Kerry wants to give us her pins, agghhhh, her pins, i think i might die..!!! OHMIGOD!

I love me some Wicked, but by god I hate the fan girls.

The last time I was there, these morons in the front row were dancing along to 'Wonderful'. Probably one of the most distracting things I've ever witnessed, and the cast on stage were not liking it one bit.

...and they turned up in Wicked merchandise. Never a subtle look.

I was much amused by Broadway Secrets on saturday. More so than usual.

I love this. How bitter is the girl who posted that video? 'I haven't liked Kerry since she got back from Broadway'. Yeah right, but you'll still queue up at f*ck o'clock on a Saturday morning for her then sit in the front row happily screaming at her every movement. Twat.

I used to love me some Wicked too until some former friends of mine ruined it for me by being squeeling fangirls about it. (and in their mid-to-late 20s at the time which made it worse) I'd like Kerry to stick pins in them.

Why not? If i had to perform for 2and a half hours a night to an audience of screaming girls, who go further than they need to in terms of showing appreciation, i'd have said far worse things thans she did!

Another fan chimed in and in Kerry's defence posted: "don't worry she was probably just on her period or something.". Anyone else think that is totally inappropriate and rude?

Why should she have not said that?
The fans are out of control and she is trying to entertain people who have paid up to 60 or more pounds to see a full West End show.
She was off stage and can say what she likes.
If you know any of these fans then it should be your turn now to tell them what upset they are causing.
I think she should stop the show and just tell them to ****ing grow up, get a ****ing life and treat her with respect as a professional actress.

I bet that girl gets tortured every night with that childish performance in the front row.
STOP the cheap seats I say once and for all. If kids like this want to see it again and again and disturb the audience and performers - put the cheap seats in the back of the circle 350ft away from the stage!

Why should people who earn a hard earned wage have the evening spoilt by kids in cheap seats just a few rows from their 60 pound seats!

Awesome. Too bad the fangirls can't see it as a lesson on how to behave in the theatre. They're too wrapped up in Kerry's comment to consider why she made it.
