I am sorry for your loss. I also lost a friend, though not very close to me, while in vacation in Indiana. He was about 14. Anyway, I am thinking "For Good" from WICKED.
"Because I knew you, I have been changed for good."

Sorry about your loss.
I second you Mother's Younger Brother - that song is beautiful.

What about Infinite Joy from Elegies?

I'm sorry about your grandfather.
What kind of music did he like? What was his style? If it were me, I'd go with a song from a show that he particularly liked, or just something that reminds you of him when you hear it.

The first thing I thought of was "You Walk With Me" from The Full Monty. It is sung at a funeral in the show and it's a touching song. Sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
In a class I took, we had to design our own memorial. One of the song I have in mine (and I have told people they better do it, because I'll be there listening) is "What I Did For Love."
Remember, "What if today were the day you had to stop dancing?" What if toay were the day you hd to stop everything you loved?
"Except for the point
The still point,
There would be no dance,
And there is only the dance." -- T.S. Eliot

Posted: 6/27/07 at 3:52pmI know it's rap but "I'll be missing you" - Diddy.
That most likely doesn't work for a grandfather, but you reminded me of "I'll Be Seeing You"

"My Friend" from "The Life" would be a great song. It would show to everyone how close you 2 were.

Depends on his life, and your relationship, but I love "Forgiveness's Embrace" and know it's been done at funerals. It's by Stephen Schwartz, and you can find it on his album "Uncharted Territory"
I'm so sorry for your loss.

"Left Behind" is more of a teenage suicide song. Were anyone I know to ever kill themselves (God forbid), I'd recommend that song to be played at their funeral.
"Those You've Known" from SPRING AWAKENING is good, as is "Days of Plenty" from LITTLE WOMEN, though you'd have to change the words a little bit. Maybe even "Somewhere" from WEST SIDE STORY.
