I'm having some friends over this weekend to watch South Pacific and thought that my fellow BWWers might have some fun food ideas. I'm trying to serve either Polynesian inspired dishes or riffs on lines in South Pacific. It's tough to do too much Polynesian, however, because I can't serve meat.
So far I have
-Bali Ha'i-balls
-Bloody Marys
-Cornbread with blueberry sauce (corny as kansas in august, normal as blueberry pie)
-Honeybuns
Does anyone else have fun ideas?

This reminds me of my dinner theater days when every show had it's own drink specials and menu! "Mother Superior's Black-n-White Sundae" (they made the actress playing Mother S come sell it in the lobby- in a souvenir Cup! "Take it with you when you flee the Nazis!" ) and "Frau Schmidt's Rouladen" for Sound of Music and "Golde's Chicken Kiev" and Tevye's "White Russian (in a souvenir glass! "Take it with you when you flee the Czar!").
I think for South Pacific they served "Liat's Sweet-n-Sour Chicken" and "Luther's South Pacific Punch (Run & Hawaiian Punch in a Tiki Mug)" Sunday Brunch shows Bloody Mary sold Bloody Marys in the lobby.

I once got a "Don't Cry For Me Margarita" and "Mama Peron's Casa Rosado Pescado" at the Carousel Dinner theatre when I saw Evita there.
It was also the production of Evita where Eva when being undressed by her servant had her boob fall out due to a strap breaking on her camisole and she kept singing while cupping her breast. Now thats commitment.
