According to the LA Times, Wood is no longer attached to the show. Ouch.

Ditto.
And Spider, your avatar makes me want to cry.

"Well if she is bowing out due to scheduling conflicts, at least that means Spiderman has a schedule."
More likely, she didn't like the idea of not being able to schedule other opportunities while this flounders around for a few more years.

Posted: 3/10/10 at 11:15amThat's a tough break. I still do hope to see a Julie Taymor directed show on Broadway - whether it is Spiderman or something else.

Posted: 3/10/10 at 11:16amIt's time to let this just die. The longer they keep on with this charade the sadder the whole thing becomes.

Posted: 3/10/10 at 12:34pmI think part of the problem is Julie Taymor. Someone needs to reign her in.

Posted: 3/10/10 at 12:42pmThat may be a good point. I was just nostalgic for how creative she was with The Lion King, though.

Posted: 3/10/10 at 12:55pmI think "Spider-Man Loses Wood" would be a pretty good headline for everyone's general feeling about this show.

I know the joke has been made before, but I just had to add to the previous post.
SPIDER-MAN KEEPS CUMMING, LOSES WOOD.

Posted: 3/10/10 at 7:18pmI seriously believe they are keeping up the charade in order to get all the legal implications ironed out... who loses what, how much more goes into repairing the theatre and whose going to foot the bill etc. Kinda hard to keep throwing money at a project that isn't gonna happen.
