Funny story: His family's last name originally WAS Feliciano. But they screwed it up at Ellis Island.

And, yeah, don't call him by his full name. Just remember it's Mah-no. And you'll do fine. And I'm totally neurotic, too, by the way.

Yeah, I heard that, too. And how Manoel is apparently "archaic" Portuguese. hah, poor guy! The mis-spellings and wrong pronounciations are really pretty amusing, though.

So true, lol. Were you at his concert on the 13th?

My first name is a common named spelled differently, and I can say that mis-spellings are annoying. At least I don't have to deal with people pronouncing it wrong. I do love Mano's name. re: Stage Door

Unfortunately, I wasn't, but I'm not missing the next one for anything.

I keep bugging Telecharge and checking online, but tickets aren't on sale yet. re: Stage Door My friend send Mano a message on MySpace and he said he would check.

Yeah, they're not onsale yet. (It's not even listed on the May lineup) I'd ask Mano myself, but I bug him too much, and I know he's been insanely busy lately.

He's like, one of the most efficient internet-active actors EVER. I don't have a MySpace and his website doesn't list e-mail contact, so I haven't contacted him myself, but I wouldn't be surprised if he actually went and checked on when the tickets would be on sale and returned with an answer. He's so ridiculously accomodating, it seems.

Yes, he really is. And he told me he's working on his website (after I, um, kinda, maybe insulted him a little...which I'm still very sorry about). He's very apologetic for not responding to all his messages, but he almost ALWAYS responds to everyone.

I honestly might have to create a MySpace account and just not bother with making it pretty, because the entire WORLD is getting on board with that thing. I feel sort of left out.

See, this is what I mean. I've accidentally offended people one too many times! re: Stage Door
Does he do the site himself? The main page changed again, so it's being worked on... by somebody.

Yeah, he does it all himself. He says he knows about web design, and wants it to be a completely different type of website. He was talking to me about working on his website, and I jokingly sort of insulted it. So he took down the site, and is working on it right now. Apparently my comment got him to work on it, even though he really doesn't have enough time to update it. But it's admirable that he's so hands on with everything he does. And I'm SURE it'll turn out great.

I only created a My Space account to keep up to date with some of my favorite actors. I find the whole thing really annoying, but it's been a really great way to keep in touch with people

Has anyone visited the Sweeney stage door recently? I'm going in three weeks, so I was wondering if everyone still comes out. I'd really like to meet the whole cast.

There's a lot I am not certain of...

I was there on Tuesday. It was fun. And f*cking cold. Um. I kind of just observed until Manoel came out, and then missed Lauren and Cerveris while we were talking to Mano. It was just way too cold to wait for Patti, so we gave up. But they all seem really, really cool. Everyone was gracious and humble and all that jazz. And Mano is... gah. Such a doll.

The last time I was there was Tuesday evening (don't know if that's recent enough for you) and everyone came out, but you have to be quick if you want to catch all of them. John Arbo didn't stop this time, but he will if you ask him (and he always seems really flattered that people want to meet him), Mark Jacoby didn't stop either but he walked by (I don't know if he ever stops; I haven't met him yet), and Benjamin Magnuson breezed by, but he's been sick. If he wasn't sick, he's usually more than happy to stop.

And the rest of them all come out and sign and stuff. :)

It is! You're lucky you didn't wait for Patti, actually, by the time she came out I had turned into a block of ice.

I was with three friends and we were ALREADY blocks of ice. I couldn't feel my fingers or my toes, or move my legs. Poor Mano had his hands shoved in his pockets and was like... fidgeting to stay warm.

... meeting Patti will be a warm-weather activity!

Yea, we definitely waited an additional 25 minutes after Mano had left. I couldn't feel my toes!

Mark Jacoby does stop if you recognize him and ask him...I was at the stagedoor with two friends after the matinee on 2/19. We had a really nice chat with him and a great group photo.

We met everyone except Benjamin...because we were getting Manoel's autographs and he was on the opposite side of the barricades. We ended up seeing everyone, but Patti...and everyone was incredibly nice even though it was brutally cold out.

Does he? Every time I've gone, he's never stopped--but then again, no one's stopped him. Next time, I'll ask him, because I'd love to meet him, I think he's fantastic.

And I'd probably talk to him like a human being--as opposed to Michael Cerveris, whom I repeatedly speak to as though I have half a brain. "... Hiiii..."
