...yup I said it!!!!
Since he believes stage work is the equivilant of a ruined career: Tom Cruise
I can't believe I am saying this . . .
But, in a few years, Justin Timberlake may mature into someone who could do BW. At least in something light.
Link in HS - Fiyero in Wicked . . . I am not talking about Les Mis, but light stuff, I could see it.
When he was on SNL, he was actually really funny, and had some good takes and reactions. His Maurice Gibb impression with Jimmy Fallon was great. His acting seemed decent.
I am a realtively old fart, not fond of boy bands. But, if Joey Fatone can do Rent, then . . .
Nick Cannon.

It seems the majority of you are not very optimistic about the talent in the younger generations. Come on give them a break. We rely on the youngsters to keep musicals like Rent going. You forget that people like Britney and Justin grow up on the stage performing for Disney, hardly your local youth theater is it? Plus, they are inspiring a whole new generation of kids to learn to sing and dance, and maybe these maybe the future Idina's, Bernie's, Cheyenne etc.

Well Lindsay Lohan is Amber so actually I think that would be perfect...:)
I find it ironic how you're all so quick to speak badly about people who, if given a chance to be in a show with them, you'd probably be jumping up and down for joy.
Just saying...
Actually, I would NOT jump for joy if given the chance to be in a show with them. I'm not even the slightest bit interested in MEETING these people.
I really hope all the bubble-gum pop singers stay far far away from Broadway.
GypsyRoseLee - I said "probably", and it's not that I don't agree that some of their talents are better appreciated elsewhere - I just don't see the point of this thread I guess. The entertainment industry is small and we in general shouldn't make a practice of bad mouthing, you never know who is going to hear you and what bridges you might burn. You may not want to be in a show with them, but you probably DO want to be connected to some of their contacts, so unless you have a million offers that you can choose from I wouldn't be so quick to say that you wouldn't want to work with them. And hey, if they are THAT bad, at least you'll look that much better, right? That is, of course, assuming you are.

ANYONE in Hollywood. I couldn't care less about what any of them do to screw up their lives and careers but no way should they ever get cast in a show, as it requires peple with talent. Although it looks like it's already happening.
Just remember how odd everyone thought Michael Crawford was as Lloyd Webber's choice to play the Phantom. Michael was known for playing goofy and gawky guys in films.
The rest is history...
