Tag...Caissie had kidney stones(according to her Facebook).

As for the show I saw it last night and LOVED it. Will definately see it again(most like a few more times)

snl89...I was in the last row of the orch and it sounded fine from there. Well what I could hear of it since the 3 ladies aside of me were singing along LOUDLY and not very well either.

I saw it this past Wednesday and loved loved loved it. I was in row B on the side, so was shocked when that ended up being the front row. Such an awesome show to see from the front row, I splurged on another front row ticket for April.

I saw it when Jackie Burns was on, and I thought she was great. I saw her in Unlocked at NYMF and loved her in that as well. But her voice was very good, as well as her acting.

Yeah, I figured it was probably just where we were sitting :) It wasn't that bad or anything, it was just a little hard to hear what people were saying at times. Again though, it REALLY didn't matter in the long run because even if I couldn't tell what they were saying I was still completely rocking out :P

I'm actually kind of happy in a way that my first time seeing the show was without Gavin, because I'm pretty sure when I see it WITH him I'll be staring at him the whole time! hehe. So this time I really got to take in and notice everything else that was awesome about the show, and now I'll go back and see Gavin re: Let The Sun Shine In! The official HAIR love thread...

Oh and I'd just like to also say that the lotto box seats are SO AMAZING. They are perfect. You're close enough that you can see all the little acting details, and high enough up that you can also see the whole picture! Couldn't have asked for a better view! Plus the cast is always coming up and strutting around right there hehe. One guy came up and played with my hair, and I was like "who's playing with my hair!?" hahaa, and then I turned around and realized it was a cast member coming down from behind me lol

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

snl- If that's you in your avatar I think I sat in front of you on Saturday...? haha.

I actually thought Jay was pretty fantastic, especially with it being his first time on (and his Broadway debut!). I'd love to see him again after he has the chance to go on more.

I'll write more after class but I'm kind of in love with this show.

^haha yup, that's me! :P

and yes, Jay did do a FANTASTIC job <3 I was so proud of him!! I'd forgotten just how pretty his voice is.

It was just so funny, because like.. my mom and I seriously have this cosmic thing with him haha. Second time now that we've run into him completely by happenstance! First we met him after Hairspray in Weston and chatted with him there, then we ended up standing next to him at Hairspray on Broadway, so we got to be buddies with him, and then bam, out of nowhere we end up seeing his first appearance as Claude in Hair!! re: Let The Sun Shine In! The official HAIR love thread... It was so special. He's awesome

Still dying to see Gavin though, just cause, you know, it's Gavin freaking Creel. hehe

I saw the show last Sunday (as in not yesterday, but two Sundays ago) and it was incredible. The entire group had so much energy together. My favorite person in the show was Gavin Creel. I went in unbiased and hoping for the best and was surprised by how amazing it was. I was bopping to each number. Fifth row orchestra was so much fun :) I cant wait to see it again.

i am in LOVE with this show! i've gone every weekend its been in previews and i'm probably going again this weekend. the lotto seats are great for anyone wondering. i was kind of iffy about it but they are great. you don't miss anything. if you can try for front row seats. there might still be some left. i sat front row and immediatly went home after and bought another front row ticket. the show is so much fun!

when do you guys think they will make a recording of this cast? i'm hoping soon.

Seconding the cast recording. It needs to happen. They sounded SO great, I can't get over it.

The box seats looked fun. Everyone's running by and you can dance with Gavin at the end, if you're on the right.

I loved the lotto seats! My friend and I were in the first two seats on the right side. The cast is up there a lot. Anthony Hollock came up and borrowed my glasses for a second. It was hilarious.

I was so tempted to go back and lotto again Saturday night. I can't wait to go back!

Where's the best spot to get to dance with Will Swenson?

No clue, but I need to say how much I LOVED him as Berger! He's so much fun to watch, and he completely had the audience by his first line.

Couldn't agree more, Dancin'. Swenson is superb and SO much in the spirit of the show. One thing that hasn't been noted on the board is that he is so age-appropriate. I know he's about 34 or thereabouts, but the point is that he comes across like a 20-ish hippie. And WHERE he gets the energy is beyond me. I'm hoping great things happen for him and that I have the chance to see him numerous times in the future. But his performance in this alone gives him a place of honor in the my theatre memory bank, which goes back to 1952.

Swenson runs somewhere out in the audience. I was looking for him when I got on stage and he wasn't there.

hope that's true. Can't wait for it. Which of the recordings do you guys listen to more the actors fund benefit one or the obc from 1969? I listen to the actors fund but some of the songs are kinda weird. I like how harvey did the song Air with the raspy voice but I like it better on the obc recording.

^I listen to the Actors Fund recording :) (Gavin's "Going Down" FTW!)

I SO hope that's true about the recording for this production! It needs to happen!! It's too perfect not to have recorded.

This is from their youtube page:

"No official details have been announced yet regarding a cast album"

I do agree that this cast needs to be recorded!

I really really want them to make a cast album...I would love to have Sasha Allen's Aquarius and White Boys forever : )

All of them are SO nice at the door.

By the way,

I've seen the show in the orchestra with the discount from broadwaybox...

Do you think if I want to save money I should just buy rear mezz seats or get the orchestra again?
