It's the movie script with a few changes...

So is Mean Girls.

Incredibly happy for Itamar Moses, who deserves the win so, so much. Still a bit salty about Gough getting beaten out, but Laurie Metcalfe did give a wonderful performance too.

What was with that "bitch please" face Andrew Garfield made when Nathan Lane thanked him?

Baryshnikov's Carousel intro felt longer than My Fair Lady's performance.

I thought it was a fine adaptation. I haven’t seen The Band’s Visit film, but if Cedric is right, it suffers from some similar problems.

But Tina Fey wrote both my friend, therefore she didn’t need to share it.

It was fine. Personally I thought there was far too many songs in the place of would have been just a few lines of dialogue.
Bands Visit was far better.

I loved that Carousel performance. Wonderful. The dancing is the best part of the entire show. I'm glad that was highlighted. Loved it.

Probably trying to find someone who's smiling.

It wasn't really a new work written from scratch though, it was an old script with some cut lines that became songs.
Anyways not going to argue about it, I liked it, but preferred Bands Visit. But then it is also the same as the film so...

Odd choice of number from a show that has such beautiful songs and such beautiful vocals.
