YES!
I'd be happy to root for Tina Fey for a Tony, but not for that lazy project.
Happy for Band’s Visit, but thought Mean Girls had a stronger book
Wow! Loving these surprises.
Looks like Mean Girls will be going home empty-handed. It’s such a clever book, and I was hoping Fey would win. Band’s Visit is certainly deserving, though.

Happy for Moses, but I saw the movie and at least 50% of the dialogue is word for word. They should have scripted the writer of the movie. Otherwise congrats!

It's the movie script with a few changes...

So is Mean Girls.
Incredibly happy for Itamar Moses, who deserves the win so, so much. Still a bit salty about Gough getting beaten out, but Laurie Metcalfe did give a wonderful performance too.
The only good show nominated won Best Book. Congratulations to the The Bands Visit!!!!!!!!
What was with that "bitch please" face Andrew Garfield made when Nathan Lane thanked him?

Baryshnikov's Carousel intro felt longer than My Fair Lady's performance.
I’m glad I finally bought my Angels in America front Orchestra tickets last week. I’m predicting an uptick in ticket sales after tonight. Can’t wait to see it in less than 2 weeks.

I thought it was a fine adaptation. I haven’t seen The Band’s Visit film, but if Cedric is right, it suffers from some similar problems.
This Carousel performance is deadly.

But Tina Fey wrote both my friend, therefore she didn’t need to share it.

It was fine. Personally I thought there was far too many songs in the place of would have been just a few lines of dialogue.
Bands Visit was far better.
Can’t wajt for the Carousel salt for the next few minutes... ??
I loved that Carousel performance. Wonderful. The dancing is the best part of the entire show. I'm glad that was highlighted. Loved it.

It wasn't really a new work written from scratch though, it was an old script with some cut lines that became songs.
Anyways not going to argue about it, I liked it, but preferred Bands Visit. But then it is also the same as the film so...

Odd choice of number from a show that has such beautiful songs and such beautiful vocals.
