Since the inception of this Carousel revival, all the attention has been put on Justin Peck's choreography. There has been more features and write-ups about that more than anything else about this production. Even that trailer that they released was all about showing off the choreography to the point where it looked like a ballet with some songs rather than an integrated Broadway show where song, dialogue, and dance work together to tell a whole story.
Statchel...? Ok. Seems like a wonderful person but I thought his performance was forgettable (saw everyone in the category but Lee). Would’ve given it to Norbert myself. Then Lee, Henson, and a toss up between Gemignani and Statchel...heh.
