TITANÍQUE Previews

It ran two hours at my performance, as well. I was close to the exit, but was out of the theater two hours after it began.

I thought it was fun, but hardly worth exceeding $50 to obtain a ticket.

It definitely worked better off Broadway.

Well as someone who never saw this Off-Broadway and wondered “wtf are they thinking?” when this was announced I have to say I thought this was an absolute BLAST and every bit deserves to be on Broadway.

In a world where Oh Mary! Is a huge Broadway hit, this feels in the same vein but felt way more energetic and genuinely funny and more of a full show.

Not everything on Broadway has to be all that deep and maybe there’s just a little place right now for this pure silliness. I’m rooting for this show to succeed in spite of people’s expectations.

You have Andre de Shields and Sydney Harcourt for CATS (plus whoever else), Bryce Pinkham and Bradley Dean for CHESS, Ali Louis Bourzgui (debatable) for LOST BOYS, and Ben Levi Ross for RAGTIME.

I love Layton, but he is surely not the walk-away winner by a country mile.

I saw it last night. Personally I would nominate Parsons. I was shocked how great he was.

I had a great time overall but can’t help but feel that the multiple standing ovations were a bit generous.

Last nights improv bit was Greatest Showman related and mentioned Sutton Foster’s chemistry with Hugh in Music Man. It was hilarious

I imagine the run time shifts a little based on audience responses and Marla's ad lib.

It’s weird how they’re keeping the pre show announcement saying the show is a tight 90 minutes when it’s almost two hours long. It’s never been 90 minutes and wouldn’t be even without any audience laughter so it’s odd.

I don't think Pinkham or Dean are at any risk of winning. The others could - I don't really think either of the Cats guys are doing anything that special but the hype train could sweep them along for sure.

That being said, I saw Lost Boys since I posted this and I would personally vote for Ali. Maybe the category is more interesting than I was giving it credit for :)

That’s what I’m saying!
