He didn't quite crack, but he did fall a bit short on one note. He caught himself, though.
it's ok even if he did crack. It was an amzing performance and you could see his passion for the song. I can't stop gushing!
I'm pretty sure that goes for all of us. I KNOW it goes for me! Just ask Chris!
I know the feeling. But crack or not, it was an awesome performance. I should've recorded it so I could watch it again. -sighs- oh well.
edit: Yep, it's true.
Idiot, you didn't record it? After all the warnings I gave you???
Well, I felt it wasn't worth it? Okay, that's a lie, but I just... you know what, I don't have an excuse. I was just being dumb.
Well, the next time I see you, I'll let you borrow my tape. Speaking of which, WHEN are you going to send my "David Searching" back???
Soon... very soon. I swear. I promise and everything. I just love that movie sooooo much. If can't already tell. And yay. Thank you. Wow, I'm still gushing, this is bad.
Down, girl! I thought you were going to copy it. You know, so you could get your kicks and I could get my movie back?
I am. I'm waiting for Rich to get me the proper cord, but we have to wait till Monday, which is payday to buy it. So very soon. And I'm calm now. But Adam did look so great.
Okay, now I love Adam a lot, but that wasn't the greatest performance. It looked like he was struggling because he was nervous. He didn't sound bad, but looked painfully awkward and out of place on the show almost. Is this the first time he's performed one of his own songs on national television?
When they introduced him, did they mention the Rent movie at all? And am I going crazy or did they say he was in Rent, Phantom, and Aida on Broadway?
He was really nervous. But I don't think this was his first televised performance. But he did look great. I don't know what they said about him, cuz honestly, I wasn't paying attention. I think at that moment I was doing the fangirl thing. But he was good though.
Agreed Kris2, it wasn't his best performance and some notes sounded very off, in my opinion.
I think they said he was in Rent, Aida and Cabaret, I didn't hear them mentioning POTO.
Great idea, Cloe. Will email them later and won't even mention I'm a fan. I'll just pretend I watch The View regularly and was overwhelmed by this young man called Adam Pascal.
QM
I think the WB appearance was local... so NYC/tri-state area sort of thing. So, yes... I think it may be, Kris. Unless there was anything during the Model Prisoner release days, but I don't think the publicity was nearly as good then as it is now.
I saw him with his hands in his pockets, fidgeting a tiny bit, and I thought to myself "oh, God. He's nervous... come on, Adam. You've done this a million times." And, as always, he delivered, once he relaxed a bit.
He's a lot perkier, and goofier... much more himself at his "actual" appearances, and rightfully so, I suppose. At that stuff, he knows he's singing to a room full of his fans. This wasn't at all the case. When you get tickets to the show, it's like 9 months in advance and you have no idea who/what you'll be seeing. And, I do know that he gets very worried about not being well-recieved.
Not sure about the intro - I was in my room, ready and raring to hit the record button on the VCR when I saw the intro, and then went tumbling and bounding down my staircase to actually go watch him on my 60 inch TV screen. Missed the intro... but I'll go back and watch. I'll kick so arse if they f*cked up the intro!
QM! That's an even better idea. Heh... I can use one of many e-mail address aliases and do that, as well. I suppose that's much more effective, but I was too busy displaying my loyalty and fandom.
Okay, post above was WAY too long. I'm sorry.
Emcee, that's what I thought. Some people won't take the typical fan very seriously, especially when we are gushing all over him. So I will pretend to be this regular viewer who was blown away by this young man... and I'm sorry, he will just have to return!!!
QM
Okay, I've watched it four times now (what else would be the point of recording it?) and they most definitely said RENT, Aida, and Cabaret.
QM, I'm totally going to run out and do that now!
Aw Adam. I know he performed on national t.v. when he was first in Rent at least, but this is his own music. It's personal. It's his. I really wanted to go, "Adam kicked butt!" but he looked SO nervous. He definitely relaxed a bit, but it took some time. It's just, The View's audience isn't exactly his target audience. Ya know? I can see why he'd worry about how he's received, but the best thing for him is to just be himself. Rock singer. He put on his suit and tie and then with his song choice too, it felt like he was trying to make himself fit into the show more. He doesn't need to do that. Adam! Just be yourself and people will love you!
In the intro, I heard Barbara Walters say Rent, Phantom, Aida and Cabaret. Unless I'm going crazy, which is very possible. And I don't think they mentioned he's in rehearsals for the Rent movie?
*ETA: I guess I'm going crazy!

Getting ready to shut down, lock up and skedaddle out of here. People on the road best stay out of my way tonight!

Okay, Kris, they absolutely did not mention Phantom. I went and just watched it again to prove it to myself.
And no, they didn't mention the movie. Idiots.
He did look different in the suit, and it so wasn't him, but I think he looked great in it. It was cute seeing him all nervous though.
Yes, let's all use our hundreds of email addresses and write in to 'request more info on this talented young man 'what's his name again, Adam Poscol'
*stays out of Bdwaygirl's way*

lol. Sounds like a plan QM.
Yeah, I'm going crazy. I definitely misheard "Phantom." No idea how I did that one. They totally should've mentioned the Rent movie though. That's sort of important.
few things.. they should have mentioned the movie, he should have worn something besides the suit. He seemed too.. i don't know, not himself? ANd yes i will also send an email.
