PBOL posted this, but it doesn't explain anything.

That seemed more like a joke to me"

No ben ross was on for jared in the maitnee
Report from a friend who was there last night:
“Taylor was made for the role, embodies Evan better than Ben Platt IMO”
So hoping for nothing but positive reviews

Where did you see this? I don’t see a reason why they would need to have a 3rd cover this week, unless MLB is going on vacation?

Taylor is on again tonight according to instagram. This is just a touch bizarre.

According to the playbill.com article, he'll be on again tomorrow night and Saturday matinee.
I am very curious - has Galvin fallen ill? Is someone unsatisfied with his performance? Is he not coping with the demands? Or did they simply want to start inserting Trensch in a more risk-averse way by letting him walk into the role a little slower? I don't quite get it.

No, Galvin is fine, he performed the wednesday matinee. My guess is that the producers are figuring out if Taylor will need a alternate and want to see how much "energy" he uses for a few performances, letting him into the role slower....if that makes sense.
I’ll be at the show tonight. Haven’t seen it since last spring. Excited to see Taylor.

I'm sure the producers also want to let Mr. Trensch get a few performances under his belt before the Fansens descend.
Taylor was fantastic as Evan. After seeing Ben many times I was nervous to see a new take on Evan. Taylor was incredible.
Nicole was on as Heidi and also have a great performance.
I would think it’s more like maybe Taylor was ready and maybe Galvin had some commitments or maybe wanted to ease out of the show. I don’t think there’s too much drama involved. Maybe Taylor just wanted a few shows as a “preview” beforehand.
Is TT doing all 8 shows a week beginning next week? I have Sat matinee tickets later in Feb. (bought months ago).
Honestly, why do people like this show so much?

Telecharge say Michael Lee Brown will perform Wednesday and Saturday matinees.
Taylor also has the Christopher Boone role in his past so I really thought that he would be an awesome Evan. I just wasn't sure about his vocal ability to take on the singing in deh.

when are prices going to drop in the orch for this show? Bens gone!!!!!
$400 for good orch for replacements? really?
As long as they’re selling, the prices will stay. I was looking at 14 dates in June and there were tickets but not many.
Look on stub hub. I got tickets to see Taylor Thursday night the day before. Paid 124 each with fees. 100% worth it. Mid mezz center.
Curious who was on all weekend as Evan?
