Hi there,
Im seeking some advise or information for anyone who had requested a refund from Telecharge.
I had made the mistake of purchasing a ticket for To Kill a Mockingbird for a night that I cant go. Does anyone have any suggestion or advise of how I can request a refund from Telecharge or am I stuck? Thank you all in advance.

When you ask for a refund, the first thing they will ask is "can I switch it for another day." Say no, I would like a refund. They will say that they don't give refunds, and ask why you can't go. If you ask nicely, they might call the box office, and ask them to refund you. If the box office says yes, you will get your refund. It's easier to get a refund to a big hit like Mockingbird, because they know they can resell it. But, any refund is at their discretion.
I have always found Telecharge to be very gracious and accommodating about such things, but in the event that you are unable to obtain a refund from them, I suggest contacting the theatre directly. I few years ago my husband and I had tickets for several shows and he seriously injured his back just days before we were scheduled to travel. I contacted the respective theatres and explained our situation, and every one of them happily refunded the tickets and wished him well.
I've found that it also depends where your seats are and the price you paid for them. If the box office knows that those same seats can be resold at a higher price (premium-level prices), they'll definitely give you a refund regardless of the reason you give them for not going.

Back in February I had to cancel a Broadway trip at the last minute because of illness and called Telecharge to see if they would refund my tickets for The Ferryman, The Band’s Visit, and The Prom. They refunded all three with no problem.

I contacted Telecharge and was able to move my ticket to another night's performance which worked out perfectly. I just want to let you know that your responses helped assuaged my anxiety and concerns.
