looks like allegiance wont be on broadway till 2012, with a possible debut of late-late 2011 in San Diego.

If I remember correctly wasn't Diana Degarmo cast starring with Creel in the show back in 2008. Is that happening or is she already on another project? Lost track of her.

U sound a little bitter about Godspell and it hasn't even finished its cast announcement, nor do you know IF people want to see it. Sucks you have to speak things out loud before even seeing how it might turn out. Maybe have a little more respect for these people's livelihoods. Geesh!

Says the person who's been a little defensive any time someone so much as exhales negatively in the direction of this production. They're just saying they don't like the cast. Maybe they'll be blown away when (if?) this opens. Maybe they won't. What's it to you?

All right people, stop s***ting on Parrish before he's already begun. Based on the YouTube clips I saw, he was mediocre but not horrible in SA, and Jesus is a much easier role than Melchior. He'll sell a few extra tickets due to his semi-fame from "Weeds" and do just fine.

I have no idea how this will actually turn out, and I'm not over the moon with the casting...but I still want to see it.

It closing early is not always an indicator of it's worth anyway.

Gvendo is really bitter and unfortunately lacks the maturity to understand that you don't verbally take it out on those who have nothing to do with it. Regardless of the show, give it a chance to at least watch it before you blast it.

I can't imagine it doing too bad being that it's already in a 700 seat theater. I think it's very wise what they are doing. Godspell is more than just a show...it's one of the few shows that has a message and furthermore it was one of the longest running shows on Bway.

It has great history! I think the cast is great because Godspell has a legacy of introducing some of Broadways newest stars! A lot of shows lately just cast stars and don't go looking for new or fresh talent. Hunter isn't fresh but he's not a MAJOR star! Give the show a break.

One of the few shows with a message? Really? I think EVERY show has a message...some more meaningful than others, but they all do. (Ok...maybe not RAIN.)

Longest running??? It ran just over a year, less than 550 performances. It doesn't even break the top 100!

I love Godspell, it will always hold a special place in my heart...which is odd becuase I'm a Jewish gal...but don't use prattle as a defense.
